Question Passenger Air bag cover

Can someone confirm how you remove the passenger dashboard air bag cover (it has SRS engraved on it). I have an annoying rattle from underneath and am concerned that if I remove the cover I may somehow affect the operation of the airbag. Cheers.

It's an 03 WRX, I had the same thing happen with the clock cowling, it's the fixing pins and the joint between the two sufaces that causes the problem. I resolved the latter by using a thin foam strip placed on the corners of the cowling which stopped the two surfaces rubbing. I also removed the offending clip.

hi,just read your thread
if you remove the glove box the air bag should be bolted above (where the glove box was) It should be fastend to a large steel tube that goes across the car, it will lift out the top in one lump (air bag and cover together) do not pull the wire's out as you will have to have the warning light on the dash re-set. i've taken my 99my bag out and
i'm sure it will be the same on your car.

Can you remove just the airbag cover, did the same with a flathead screwdriver for the clock cowling.
