Question Manual Boost controller

Seen this whilst browsing Ebay. Im not interested in getting one, but what is the general opinion on these manual boost controllers?

You'd get better results by peeing in your petrol tank.

Why not go for an electronic boost controller with a built in fuel cut defender, two boost settings and a scramble facility for higher overtaking boost, in cabin adjustable all for £140 delivered next day.
VERY good quality kit at a remarkable price.

They have gone up in the world now from a resistor to a variable resistor lolol
It isn't a boost controller but just a airflow temperature 'frig' which is not advisable
