Default 2.0 to 2.2 is it just that simple!

spoke to a mechanic yesterday and seems to think by geting a stroker kit

fitted it increases your engine by 0.2 making it a 2.2 surly it's not that simple?

yes. changes stroke of crank making displacement greater.

But the effects are greater than that, you’ll need a remap at the very least…

it is that easy if you consider taking the engine out and rebuilding the engine easy.

Also most strokers use a 79mm crank as opposed to the standard 75mm which alone will not give you more than about 2.1, you need a slight ovcerbore with a 79mm crank (from a us sti) to get 2.2.

It may of course be an 80mm or greater stroke crank which will give you the numbers you mention.
