checked oil this morning
level surface, engine off, 11.7degs.C on the gauge.
it was about 7-10mm above the lowest hole on the dipstick, car is a UK99.
is this about right?
2ndly,
Ive noticed a drip drip sound when the cars turned off after an up to temp run.
cant see any spillage on the driveway, sounds like its coming from somewhere near the sump, about 1 drop every second for a wee while till cold.
has been suggested its the headers (wrapped, de shielded) but sounds like liquid.
any ideas?

Is it quite a load tic tic type noise? If so its probably the heat shields and exhaust cooling down which is normal. The oil level should be between the two holes on the stick when the engine is cold.
