3" Downpipe to 2.5" Connection? Flangeless?
I have a 3" downpipe which does not have a flange fitting, i.e. the connection to the mid-section you would expect to match but they don't. As per pick urls below:

I am familiar with the Flange type connection's. Did some manufacturer's make exhaust which don't use the common flange connection? Is it possible to get hold of a connector to mate the two?
Any Ideas...
Thanks in advance.

some manufacturers make a "sleeved" system for more flow, ideal on higher power cars as they don't suffer any restriction due to the flange...................the one you have appears to be a Magnex d/pipe that would normally have a 2.5" flange fitting, looks as though someone has cut it off??
did you buy s/hand??
you can can get sleeved sections with the flange on to join up...............

is it not a mongoose system? they use a slide over joint. i started to make an connector to make it easier at mot time (should go through the mot with the second cat) but was gonna take a quite abit longer than taking the down pipe off due to only having access to a small lathe and a limited tool cabinate. can't see a connector with a steep taper angle being great for performance.
