My boot release catch has ceased working! I opened the boot with it last sunday and it was fine, then went to open it on saturday just gone and it wouldnt work. It feels quite slack when you lift it so maybe a spring has gone? The fuel flap works fine however, if at all they are connected.

Can it be fixed or will i have to get it looked at?

 

look under the boot lid at the mechanism
theres a little lever , looks like a child safety lock that u get on rear doors . flick it ;-)

 

OMG!!!! It now works! (Im at home btw) God knows how i caught the latch the other week then!

Good job i asked on her first or id feel pretty stupid, more so than now! going into the dealers!!!

Did exactly the same a couple of weeks ago, I'm thinking new cable etc, quick look on here and hey presto. Flick the little lever (not really sure how I caught it in the first place!!!) Must be the trunk monkey

dohh thats not whats stopping mine, although its currently working fine (it will stop again in a few days)
