Default Just fiited a ...........

....... full decat to my 03 wrx.

But due to the size of the new down pipe - the heat shield won't fit.
Is it a problem not having a heat shield??

I presume you mean the turbo heatshield? They normally require trimming to fit after fitting a decat DP.

Take the car for a blast, pull over and feel how much heat is radiating from the Turbo, then decide whether to refit it or not

You will need to trim it. Mine is off the car at the moment, i can take a picture of it if you want. What DP have you got??

I've fitted a Janspeed downpipe.
Noticed whilst waiting to park that there was a wave of heat coming from
the bonnet......

Thinks me better re-fit......
