fault codes-interpretation?
connected the 2 black connectors under the dash to check for fault codes
the check engine light flashed as follows;
long flash, short gap, long flash, followed by 2 quick flashes which i calculate to be 22 - am i correct?
code 22 is knock sensor
does this mean the actual knock sensor is faulty and i need to replace it with a new one
does anyone know the part no
or does it mean that the ecu has registered knock from the knock sensor and the sensor is in fact working??

Yes that's 22.
If the ecu stores this then it means there has been an abnormal signal from that sensor i.e. a signal that is outside the expected range. Indicating a faultly sensor.
Or there is problem with the wiring from that sensor to the ecu.
