i fitted a full de-cat and filter on my 2002 wrx about 5 days ago and my girlfriend has just told me that a light was on .When i looked it was the engine warning light how could this be thanks .MO MO

 

You can't decat an MY01/02 without getting the CEL light at some stage.

This can be 'mapped out' if you are going ahead with your Tek 3.

The CEL is just telling you that the 'Cats' are not working efficiently (hardly suprising as you have got rid of them altogether). I drove for a few months with the CEL illuminated prior to getting my remap. The only problem is, with the CEL permanently on, if you have another problem (that would normally give you a CEL) you won't know.

thats sound hope fully have the tek3 done in a few weeks may put a td04 hybrid on aswell spoke to andy.f about it that should get me around 300bhp oh i and a new fuel pump MO MO
