Default Injector Query

May be a daft question, but does fitting larger injectors mean you will use more petrol?

Obviously injector upgrades are part of fuel modding etc and a remap would be done.......

But what does the ECU do with the knowledge it has bigger injectors to use?

Is the fueling proportional to the sizing?

Basically if you fit bigger injectors only, and do nothing else, then when when the map goes open loop (when you put your foot down) then it will over fuel and run rich. However when in closed loop (cruising) the ECU can compensate to a degree since it can adjust the injector duty cycle to aim for a set AFR. In open loop it just looks up set values for injector duty cycle based on the OE smaller injectors, so will run rich.
