No, its the thingy
Damn. Whats it called
Bulk Ring. Something like that?
Changed the gearbox oil in mine when this started to happen and it sorted it funnily enough (although mine was definately a worn bulk ring)
Think you will find its about a 400 quid fix if you want it sorting

If your Finding its only happening when your changing fast, id try changing the box oil first as a cheap possible fix.
My car was doing the same thing 3rd to 4th fast changing a slight crunch. changed the box oil and replaced it with Red line oil and its sorted it.
A bit stiff going in to gears in the morning but when it warms up, realy smooth in to all gears.
It just takes age's to poor in to the box cause its so thick!!
Cheers Shimy.

Scooby Clinic mate is your best bet realy great prices!
You need 4 litres of that Redline stuff, slightly more exspensive than ordinary box oil but well worth it.
Check out the Clinic's web site for pricing or call them:

Hmm, slightly off-topic but mine crunches when changing into first. I thought it might be the synchro, but it happens even going through neutral (double de-clutching). Is this likely to be the same problem?
If so, what is the cause of the wear in this component?
BTW, it's a MY99 turbo

Id try the same thing mate.
Get your box oil changed to somthing like redline oil. Its not exspensive and it's seemed to clear up any little problems ive been experiencing with my box.
So yeah its worth a try. If it is your syncro then yeah it should make it 10 times better.
Not to sure on the cause, must be down to harsh driving, wear and tear.
Cheers Shimy.

Ive still got the spoiler mate but its on ebay at the moment.
I think it finishes tomorrow, so we'll see what it gets up to.
Good luck with the box mate.
