Unhappy Coolent Leak - Help / Advice needed.

Hi,
MY 94 WRX - Just done a cambelt change - no real problems, fairly simple job, took rad out etc etc - compressed hydraulic tensioner carefully, and re-fitted after replacing belt. Engine started up first time and runs well - no leaks for a day or so, then a small drip, coming from around bottom hose connection to housing on engine. Checked all pipes etc, and found nothing. Closer inspection revealed coolent leaking from higher up, but can't see were it's coming from. Leak has stopped and started twice since, each time have lost hardly any coolent, but its not going to get any better - only worse me thinks. I have re-tensioned the two other belts - were not too tight anyway, but slackened off slightly. Where is the water pump exactly, as me thinks this could be the problem, after refitting the two front belts.
Cheers in advance,
Mart.

Hi JG,
Rad is fairly new, old one was cracked as you described. Fairly sure this is not coming from any hoses or pipes that I touched during dismantling & rad is fine. Any more ideas?

Mart.

the seal around the plastic header tank is known for cracking and leaking too, other than that i haven't seen any other common problems apart from splits in the rubber coolant hose but i am sure you have checked them already.
