Big BHP Engine Swap!!!!
Ive had a bright idea over this week end!
I love my Type R and its definetly a fast car, but a mate has just offered me his version 4 STi.
Now naturaly I wouldnt be very intrested in going back to a 4 door, and im still not, but my bright idea is to swap his parts for my parts then sell his car.
Sounds like alot of hassle, but his cars spec runs a bit like this;
2.5 litre STi engine
Gemms ECU (with anti lag)
Garrett Gt11 turbo
Front mount Pace intercooler
Oil cooler
Billet Fly Wheel
Hks unequal headers,
550cc injectors
Uprated Fuel system.
Light weight pullys
He wants 10 grand for the car, and he's spent 8500 with reciepts on the mods.
All of this has been done in the past 9 months when his standered engine let go and has covered 2300 miles including running in.
Whas wondering what people thought of my idea, is it worth the few weeks hassle? and how long and hard you lot think it would take to do?
Scooby clinic would be the one's to do the transfer and re mapp the Gemms when the rolling road goes in.
Cheers Shimy.
