Default ECU Error 53, and key transponders

My car is a UK '99 Turbo, with a factory-installed Sigma alarm, and internal immobiliser utilising a transponder contained in the ignition key.

My car has now "broken down" on me on two occasions, each time bringing up error code 53.

Initially this was thought to be fuel related, however I soon established it was a problem with the internal immobiliser of the car. Somehow the car had "lost" the relationship with the transponder in my key.

Question: What can I do now? Where can I get the transponder re-entered into the immobiliser to let me start the car again?

On the first occasion, the car began to recognise the first key after a few hours (and being helped out by Stevey - thank mate) - but the car now still ignores any attempt to start it by key #1

Luckily, I have 2 sets of keys and the second set works fine.

Thanks in advance.

Steve.

That's what I think I'm going to have to do.

Does anyone know how much this might cost me, please?

why not just buy the chip you remove the small plug next to the metal part and then get them programed to the car just make sure you have all the keys when you have this done
