STi speed meter MY00
Hello everyone
First of all I hope I can explain my problem in english properly
I have installed a STi speed meter from Japan in my european MY00
http://images2.fotopic.net/?iid=yffl...al=1&nostamp=1
Everything works fine exept for the running speed displayed on the speed meter. I checked the speed with my buddy's MY00 and it looks like if my meter is always showiing 5km/h less than I am actually doing.
The reason I guess is because of the different gear ratios between the JDM gearboxes (shorter) and our EDM gearboxes (longer).
Is there a way to solve this problem without changing to a JDM transmission? Like changing a sensor or something? I know most people in here use MPH, but maybe someone has an idea - or even better - has already done this.
How do people solve the speed meter problem when installing a 6MT in a classic scooby?
Any advice would be much appreciated! Many thanks in advance.
CHeers,
Matt

Hi Mat
As you are in Switzerland why don't you contact Büller Motorsport, they do all the Scooby and Evo stuff for the Streetcar Cup.

Speak to Richard Müller or Richard Dowsett they should be able to sort out any problems you have And they both speak German/Swiss however you want to call it.

Hi Wurzel
Thanks for your quit reply and info.
However I know Richard Dowsett has installed a STi 6MT gearbox into his MY00. But he told me he hasn't changed anything concerning his speed meter.
