Angry Hot Starting problems

Any ideas?
MY95 WRX has hot starting problems, okay if filling up with petrol etc. but won't start if left for any longer, until temperature comes right down. I am not getting any reading from the temperature gauge in the instrument panel but have separate gauge which reads fine. Done a ECU diagnostic with no faults shown.

HELP PLEASE!!.

Is the temp sensor plugged in?
Is the extra gauge plugged into the std sensor

If all that's OK I'd try a new temp sensor (IIRC £30'ish) from Subaru.

Next time you go to start it from warm, turn on the ignition but dnt start (leave it until you hear the fuel prime up and then the solenoid click)...then crank it.

Let me know if this works as its fixed my problem

Thumbs up

Cheers

I've cleaned the crank and cam sensors again. This seems to have solved the problem at the moment. Still no reading on the temp gauge though, the other gauge is plumbed into the top radiator hose, so using a different source.
