Question STI 5 Boost problem

I have just had a full re build on my STI 5 Type R. Now noticed a very worrying problem and would like some advice on what could be the problem.

When accelerating hard say slip road onto motorway the boost runs up high 1.4 bar then settles to about 1.1 bar. after about 20 seconds the engine has a momentary total loss of power which almost feels like the engine stops for a fraction of a second. The jult almost lifts you out of the seat. The car runs like a dream other that that !

Any ideas

does this occur as the car is pulling its hardest? it sounds like the ecu is cutting the fuel (search for fuel cut) because the boost limit has been exceeded. what modifications have been done to the car?

when you say after 20 seconds does this mean flat out in fifth for 20 seconds or 20 seconds after i ease off and am cruising along?

it hapens when on full boost 1.1 bar whilst accelerating hard like onto a motorway. It may be less that 20 seconds on boost could be 5-10 secs.

Car has had no modifications since rebuild and did not do it before rebuild.

get a boost controller fitted, when I got my sti 7, it spiked all the way up to 1.8 bar then settled at 1.4 bar. I soon relized it was crazy so I fitted a b/c to keep the boost down. now Im set at 1 bar for low and 1.3 bar for high settings
