this morning cruising on the M25, I suddenly lost all power and the engine stopped stereo, lights and everything else still on...I dipped the clutch and pulled over to the hard shoulder. Tried to start the car again but nothing until I switched off the ignition and then started from scratch, car started first time (as always), and seemed to be fine. Then it did it again, *****.

My SECS is not showing any error codes and I have had a check of the battery and cables around and nothing makes the car cut out when I wiggle them and I can't replicate the fault...couple of hours later I had a play with an RB5 and the car was perfect as usual.

Its a UK MY00 with full decat, air box mod, green panel filter, HKS circle of earth and that’s it mod wise as far as the engine goes. All these mods have been in place for at least four months and this is the first time anything like this has happened...I really want to get to the bottom of this cause I don't want the engine cutting out on fast corners, lift off over steer is all very well if you have power to correct it...

 

bump, did it agin last night on the way home from the half way house meet...arghhhhhhhhhh any ideas?

had my 45k cam belt service on Monday btw.
