Default Prodrive Mudflaps ??

Did a quick search didn't find the answer I was looking for. Will the Prodrive mudflaps for the 2003 onwards car (Blob), fit a a 2002 car (Bug)? Just asked the dealer and he was unwilling to order them just in case they wouldn't fit easily. He mentioned there could be a difference in the way the sills fitted. I thought that they were similar on those models. Any help would be appreciated. And if any one from prodrive who visits the forum could confirm. That would be great so I can get them ordered, to be fitted on the next service. This is isn't an urgent request i've got around a months time before the service. Any info would be nice.

Cheers
Jase.

I'm not 100%, but I'd go with yes.

If you look at http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/cgi-bin...2/28/index.htm and http://www.scottsautomotive.co.uk/Sc...sp?idproduct=1 then they are non specific for the 2001 onward cars. They will screw into the same holes as the prodrive ones will.

Why not go for a set of the scoobyworld or scott's automotive ones? Much cheaper.

I'd have thought yes as well for the reasons stated above.

I'm surprised the dealer won't order them anyway. Or ring I.M or Prodrive to check.

If you want to be sure you could PM Mike Wood.

According to IM the Prodrive Mudflaps for the 2003 and after car (blob). Will not fit any older car including the Bugs. Apparently the bracket fixing points are different. According to the parts and accessories manager.

Hi DP

I think thats going to be the way forward. I just can`t beleive how useless they are though, IM not the dealer i`m using. I was after the leather interior aswell. But apparently the company that supplied went bust ages ago, but it`s still listed on the website. Oh well.

I`ll see ya soon mate.
