Towing using an automatic
MY my93 wrx broke down with a head gasket malfunction, so my mate in his my94 wrx auto towed me about 10 miles to the garage (ASPERFORMANCE).
It was such hard work, we were on mobiles throughout, but my mate said his clutch seemed to be smelling and getting a hammering, we only ever went upto 30mph and that was on a dual carriageway.
Was a nightmare for him to accelerate, to take up the slack, me to brake with handbrake only and for the auto to tow mine.
Just wondering on other peoples experiences of towing!
