Default noise from rear my97 help

bought my scooby at weekend and noticed a noise comming from rear end like a droaning noise, rear diff or wheal bearing

I'd check the brakes first!

Had this also, thought it was a wheel bearing or diff but was actually a warped disk, not to expensive or difficult to repair.

handbrake shoes stick on mine... no matter how you adjust them...
check that first too...

Mine had a similar noise when I first got it. You will probably find sod all sound proofing anywhere in the car so sounds at the rear are easy to hear. Can you hear the brakes when braking at slow speeds?

Mine still has the noise although there are no problems.
