I'd check the brakes first!

A noise from your rear end......are you new to the power of scoobies ?:)

(sorry!)

Had this also, thought it was a wheel bearing or diff but was actually a warped disk, not to expensive or difficult to repair.
Hope this helps.

Mine had a similar noise when I first got it. You will probably find sod all sound proofing anywhere in the car so sounds at the rear are easy to hear. Can you hear the brakes when braking at slow speeds?

Mine still has the noise although there are no problems.
