Red face MAF sensor location

Im i being daft????

wrx02 the Maf sensor is located just right of the filter box and has 2 screws??
or am i looking at the wrong thing???

looked up MAF's on net sites and piccy's dont look like what i think (poss older 'classic' one shown???)

that is it on a classic so i would guess it is them same - but haven't seen under the bonnet on an 02. the screws are torx (t20) on the classic. it has a single plug on it and the fitting is a diamond shape.

Here's a pic from a MY99/00 engine bay. AFAIK, it should be in the housing after the air filter just as on the older cars.
