Question Oil Loss

Will i have alot of oil loss when i change the rocker cover gasket on a my94wrx?

not loads, as long as you dont run the engine for a few hours before you do it
Jack the drivers side of the car up which will help access and keep oil loss down also.

Use sealant as well as new seal, use sealant on bolt gaskets.

Put a rag over the up pipe when you take it off, this will stop the oil falling into the up pipe heat sheild and generally smoking a lot

You will need a small 10mm ratchet and a 10mm spanner for the bolts, 12mm for the coil packs (if ness).

Make sure the surfaces are clear of oil before resealing, esp on the head itself which will keep leaking bits out with the cover off

I have used a product called Wellseal, the guys at Rolls Royce (VW !!!!) use it. It is excellent even on Alu to Alu surfaces.

personally i would use clear silicone sealent, i use wellseal on hoses
