got a classic subaru wrx import 96 everytime i stop at a junction it hunts like mad and eventually stops have replaced idle speed control sensor still done it 2 weeks later car went haywire stuttering banging it was the air flow meter had gone so thought once that was replaced that will solve the hunting errrrrr NO it never so next i fitted the proper lambda sensor in the exhaust cause it had a cheepo in it no names of who fitted that one so fitted brand spanking ne lambda sensor from subaru aaaaaahhhhh still doing it anybody got any ideas where to look now i think its drawing in air somewhere but i pulled air pipe of and it should have cut out but it never so tottaly stuck on this one any ideas plz help

Have u tried looking to see if any CEL codes ? nah silly question u must have.
Water temp sensor ?? temp sensor says engine cold and tells ecu to give it more fuel and revs ?? ( or summat like that, better wait for the experts )

Just had a thought... have u tried an ECU reset

yes im sure its been reset took it to falkland performance it had not been reset the last time it was in another garage so they reset it but still that problem i mabye tell them about the temp sensor u trhink that might be it then

U could check out the TPS (throttle position) , not gunked up
Water temp is a long shot i reckon
