Wrong kind of downpipe
Ive owned a 97 uk turbo for around 3 months and it has a new age downpipe fitted.
Ive just got it back from the garage today as its been running really poor lately. It seems to be running really rich and has been misfiring. The mechanic has changed the plugs and sorted the Lambda wiring out as it was bodged and extended due to the connection being at the bottom of the downpipe.
The car is still running bad and the mechanic told me that the ecu maybe confused in thinking the Lambda is connected at the top of the downpipe where it should be,or the Lambda is shot.
Would the wrong kind of downpipe cause the car to run badly?
Im thinking of fitting the standard pipe and also a new Lambda, would this cure my problem?
