Which ECU for a MY98 UK Turbo
Evening,
Has anyone put a new ECU into a MY98 standard UK turbo. Does anyone know which ones will fit in as a direct replacement for the factory one, that is either ready mapped or can be reliably mapped for that car.
What im after is more torque, some bhp increase but generally make it more driveable.
I was kind enough to have a ride in an MY98 with a PPP ECU this afternoon and it was far better than my standard car, but does anyone know where i can source one from
cheers

I doubt it was a my98 car.PPP was available for MY99 onwards. pre my99 cars have different connections for the ecu I think. Your best bet would be to go for one of Andy. F's Apexi Power FC unit. Think they are £750 including fitting and mapping. Supposed to be very good.

Power engineering in Uxbridge also remap MY97-98 cars.
The route you go down depends on how much tinkering you're going to do with mods. If you want to do some exhaust upgrades, remap and leave it at that you have quite a few options, if you want to constantly change things then low-cost remapability is important. Andy F's PowerFC work is highly rated on here, and they have a replacement ECU suitable for MY97-98 cars
