Default Lazy boost gauge????

Just bought a MY93 WRX..Has a F&F boost gauge fitted...To me seems really slow in operation.I had an autometer boost gauge in my last scoob and this seem to react a lot quicker?
Have checked plumbing and seems to be in right place[in plenum chamber with "T" piece]..

Any suggestions or are these Gauges a bit poo??

TIA..

PS..car is boostin well but can feel car boost quicker than the gauge!! if that makes sense?

You may find that there is a restrictor in the vacuum line to the gauge.
These can be used to stop the gauge oscillating, but if the restrictor is to small it over damps the gauge.
This assumes the gauge is a mechanical one.
