Loss of Power
Hi
I was on here a few months ago with engine tappet noise, which was eventually fixed. About 2 weeks after the tappet fix (a couple replaced) I started to notice a subtle loss of power.
Took it to the Subaru Dealer, their mechanic drove the car and said he could find nothing wrong, expect the clutch cable needed tightening! Dont think he went above 2k revs.....
My dad has been looking after the car for the last few weeks as Ive just moved and he has noticed something....in his words..."its like its being strangled".
There's nothing obvious when driving, no judderings, misfirings etc, just the absence of the full range of power, and it can be intermittent.
Subaru, belieiving nothing wrong, told me to keep running the car until it got worse, and then it might be the air flow meter - the mind boggles.
Any ideas? - its a '96 Sport 2.0 ltr
Thanks guys
Adam
