Default Steaming up

Anyone know how to get at the heater matrix of MY99 classic turbo.
The windows are steaming up and there's a bit of a damp smell when the engines hot and the heater is on.
Have searched and found that its under the dashboard but how do I get that off and get to the matrix .

My only option is to drive with the heater off and its bloody freezing in the morning just now and the weather is only going to get worse!!!!!

Cheers.

Try this link:

Its the post I put up when my matrix went. Was going to fix it myself but have just been quoted £200 from a local impreza specialist so will probably let them have the hassle.

Cheers Guys

Matrix is Burst, managed after a bit of time to get it out yesterday, god only knows if it will all go back together.
It wasn't too bad to take out just took a bit off time.

Wasn't paying £600+ for the suburu garage to do it.
Although a new part is £210.
Took it to see if was repairable but was told it wasn't.

So the cars off he road till I get a new one.
