Type Ra.......ecu?
Hi, I need a new ecu for my '93 wrx!,
and the only one I can find (second hand) is from a '94 type ra (he said on phone type RE.....think he meant RA)
the numbers on it are:-
2C
262XXXXX(these numbers weren't recognisable)AA810 (AA810 is same as my original)
A18-000RJ2 (again these are the same as mine)
so the big question.....will this run ok on my car?
cheers guys
Mark.

Hi,
If it is out an ra it should fit. Not sure of the numbers though??? thought ra ecus were z4? not 2c? It may be the earlier 240 ps ra ecu? if so no power gains over your standard 93my ecu but will fit and work ok.
Maybee you could have a look round for a z4 if you want an extra 20 bhp. Expect to pay 100 - 150 quid. could try ebay, sidc, here .. they are 260ps on 100 ron fuel.
What does he want for the ecu?
Andy

I wouldnt use the RA one.
Look at (hopefully get the website right) www.gradea-subaru.co.uk
If your car is a saloon then you want an MY95/96 ecu as a replacement, if its a wagon then you will need another wagon ecu to replace as the turbo is different.

cheers guys!
well I bought ecu for £100 and just fitted it now, but so far it runs ok but occasionally when nailing it it cuts out some times 4500rpm varying up 6000rpm and other times it'll go all the way no probs????????
is it just setting itself?
I was going to chip it but there is no ic socket inside.
also as a guess I'd say it is at least 260bhp.
cheers
