Default noisey injector?

got back from a stormin session with Andy.F (thanks mate )

thing is, I need to silence the noisey injector or whatever it was.
when stopped and lift the bonnet I (we) can here a noisey ticking and we could only deduce it was an injector?
any other ideas (slim chance I know with the dodgy description)

is the solenoid bolted down tight ? These make a racket if they are loose...

do you mean the solenoid from the avc-r?
its loose but the rat-ta-ta-tat from that isnt nearly as audible as this.
also, when the bonnet is up and the noise is obvious, a quick throttle and it goes for a few moments, then comes back.

Im going to try an injector swap tonight to see if I can eliminate it that way.

Check the purge solenoid valve under the manifold, it sounded like that to me. If you can access it (difficult) then just unplug it and bypass it. Early cars don't even have these valves !

agreed Andy, checked the injectors tonight and all a-ok
its odd that it disappears when throttle is actioned.
do you think its safe to run while getting it checked out then?
when you say bypass the valve, do you simply mean to unplug it?

am sending a PM now about a couple of things (including trailor news info!)

I had the same noise (gone after the remap) and it was the purge control solenoid (directly under the dump valve on a my99).

Question

I've got ticking injectors on my MY94 WRX wagon ,I just thought it was some resonance at 1000-1200 rpm. Can I do anything about it as I assume I don't have this purge control thingamybob?
