Default PowerFC/AVCR/AFC

Hi,
I'm thinking of getting an apexi FC, AVCR, AFC, anyone got these units and how are they? What should I expect from this setup? Do I need an AFC to alter the A/F ratios, all advices appreciated, cheers

ive got the power FC ecu fitted to my MY98 STi type R and my only comment at the moment is that the car feels so much smoother through the rev range. It gets mapped on the road on sunday so hopefully i should see a massive improvement

Running Apexi PFC and AVC-R on mine (98 UK Turbo - with 'some' mods...)

quite happy thank you

Ran PE re-map previously, have to say happy with that at the time too - but this is more flexible for the 'constant modder' (Lets face it - I've only had it on for 3 months and I'm already trying to go further )

Mark

PS _ Don't think that you need the AFC if you have the full ECU - but AndyF is your man....

now there is alot of hardware your thinking of buying i would give the AFC a miss as i dont think you need it with the power fc plus you will have too many displays in the car i have defi gauges and below those is an AVCR and a commander , its starting to look a bit crowded the AVCR is a must but to have the AFC honestly its a pain trying to find places to mount them

I should wait European Council to finish the negotiations with my country. Then we can make road tune with Andy.F (about 2015) =)

Meanwhile, does anyone know something about the datalogit? How does it work? Is it a software that does everything a power fc commander can or more abilities? Since there is no mapper or an Apexi excel dealer in Turkey I should do some "DIY" adjustments.

Thanks for all inputs.

look at the loom of wiring that goes to your current ecu.
you can then download the apexi manual and in the back of that is a guide to all the ecus INCLUDING A PICTURE OF THE LOOM FOR EACH ONE.
that way you can match the loom arrangememnt to that in the apexi diagram.

I know that when I got mine (for a 99 car) it was two blocks of wires, a blank and another box of wires and that tied in with the diagram in the book.
