Default Violent juddering under acceleration

My WRX03 has recently started to judder violently when acclerating briskly in 1st or 2nd gear, feels like I imagine it would if I was to stamp on the throttle on and off as fast I could under full boost if that makes sense, fiece acceleration then like you’ve hit a brick wall then acceleration again etc 2 or 3 times, it’s an extremely brutal experinece! Obviously it’s going back to the dealer at first oppurtunity, but wondered if anyone has experienced anything like it? did a search but couldn’t see anything similar

Thanks

Is this just with the accelerator depressed? i.e. it's not clutch judder that happens on just about every Impreza at one time or another?

Hi thanks for the response, yes it's purely under acceleration, like it goes from full power to maximum engine breaking, back on full power etc only happens at higher (4k plus) revs

Sounds like a loose high preasure hose somewhere. Had it happen when i my m8 took me out in a modded 200sx, only happened when accelerating hard. He got a new hose and problem solved. Might not be in your case but worth checking all pipes around the turbo.
Good Luck

All thanks for your replies,

Simon no not PPP'd as yet. Found your post about your issue (glad i did too: "30k service (you know the one where they replace the whole car and empty your wallet at the same time)" - class!). Take it replacing the solenoid hasn't completely sorted it?

That is classic fuel-cut bought-on by over boost. Welcome to the club!
Tried everything on mine, ended up with a very expensive Blitz boost controller, but no more probs. Runs a dream.
