Default Octane Booster

Normally run Optimax, but I am going to the wilds of Scotland next week and would like to get a couple of tins of Millers or NF as a backup in case I can't get 98 octane fuel. Any idea where I can get some in the Uxbridge to Bishops Stortford area?

NF can be had through the post.

try roger clarke I think for that.

Power engineering in uxbridge may hold stock for rolling roading customer cars.

Not cheap, but in my opinion, far better than millers.

Optimax is fairly easy to get in central and southern Scotland. Shell will give you a map or look on their site for Optimax locations.
There is no Optimax North of Nairn on the East side, unless the Shell in Inverness is finished refurb. On the West side I am not aware of any from South of Loch Lomond up.

Bloody difficult to get Optimax when you venture out into the sticks up here. If you come up the A9 via Perth watch out for the last Shell garage just off the last roundabout before you leave Perth. It's independently owned and they know you need the stuff. The charge 96p/litre!!!! That was when I last had the misfortune of having to go there.

Thanks for the offer, Johnny, I might take you up on that. Can you PM me your phone number, please? Thanks to others for advice. I am going on to Mull for the week and I know there is none there. Last fill up will be somewhere round Oban.

East Coast not too bad but the last is around Inverness IIRC but for some stupid reason I couldn't find it theres a couple in Aberdeen and Dundee also.
West Coast is dreadful, never seem any in Oban or Ullapool etc ( but there is a Shell garage in Ullapool) once you get up past Inverness I found almost no decent petrol SUL or Optimax also theres a distinct lack of mainstream companies up there mostly names you've never heard of.

You got the exact info in my first post. Trust me
Get a map from shell or go on their web site.

Don't even trust the web site. There are 2 stations near me who have changed from Shell in the last few months and they're still shown on it...
