Hi guys,

Having owned my 300zx for some time and now being in need of somthing more practical without loosing any performance I've decided I NEED a Impreza Wagon

I have the opportunity to buy a 1994 M reg WRX wagon. Its done 44000 miles and totaly standard except for a set of the original subaru gold alloys which I dont think were standard on a Silver wagon (correct me if im wrong).

I am a newbie as far as Subaru's go so I am after a bit of advice.

Firstly, what do you think I should be looking to pay for a car of that year and model, assuming good condition.

Secondly, can anyone suggest a checklist of things I should look for and common problems I should be aware of, when looking at an MY94 WRX?

Okay i'll take first stab at 6.5k, really hard to say without full info etc

As for things to look for....... dunno

Although i would hope the service history would show a cam belt change a few thousand miles ago

I dont really have that much info to give you at the moment to get an accurate price, here's what I have if its any help..

WRX Wagon in Silver.
1994 on M plate, with a meaningless private reg included.
About 45000 miles.
New cluch fitted recently due to noisy release bearings needing looked at, the owner thought it made sense to fit a cluch when it was being done.
6 months MOT and tax.
Cat 1 (not sure what type) alarm
In good condition, no dents or marks in bodywork etc. Although it will need two new front tyres in a few thousand miles.

I indication on its value would be great, in your opinion, what should i be looking to pay and what would be a bargin?

And since I'm a newbie, I would really like some indication of what to look out for specific to the WRX....

Think about it present owners, what woud YOU check if you were buying another or buying your own car again?
