Question Leaking water - but from where?

Hi all

I purchased a MY95 Wagon jap import WRX. One of the jobs was a leak which the garage has assured had been fixed at the front.

However after 600 miles, there is water dripping from the middle passenger side of the engine. I have checked the radiator and the water level has remained the same. There is no water in the expansion tank. But there is water by the side of it so could the expansion tank be leaking excess water and this is running down the engine?

Can anyone suggest what is going on?

I have been told that it is the system self levelling and just to keep an eye on it. The temperature gauge remains in the middle.

Any advice would be appreciated before i get my mechanic to come round.

Many thanks

Ian

the plastic header tank can crack and leak.. or the end tank on the rad cracks as they are plastic.. failing all that check all the pipe work..
