Resonated or Non-Resonated.
Ok, i have a small question. Im having my car mapped next friday by Pat @ Xtreme. Currently i have a Non resonated center section on my car, but 2 cats (up & downpipe). These are being removed and replaced with straight through pipes.
Personally i think that this will make the car too loud if the non res center stays in place, so i was going to put the resonated part (standard pipe) back on for when its mapped. (and possibly get one made up by H&S at some point in the future)
My question is, will this have any affect at all as to how the car can be mapped? i.e. would it potentially loose power with this part back in? If its a few bhp here and there im really not fussed but i am interested to know
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Neil.

For what it is worth, on my classic I changed to a resonated centre (magnex) after decat to reduce the noise, it has been mapped by pat, again since and no reduction in performance
