Safe boost level with decatted down pipe pre TEK3 mapping
Hi all
Just had my STI8 fitted with a de catted downpipe. It's going to be mapped early in October, but I was wondering what a safe boost level is until it is mapped.
It's got a boost gauge, what sort of self imposed limit is safe enough to prevent anything nasty happeneing? Basically can I give it a right good belting without causing any long term damage or short term catastrophies!
Any help would be greatly appreciated (it's also got a knock link)
All the best
Dave.

The knocklink is what you should be watching, this will be a better detector than your boost gauge, all i will say is dont give it some, decatted newage STi's do have a tendancy to spike, that means it then has a very good tendancy to det.... getting a remap would have probably been better done right after the downpipe.
