Default Boost Is Registering when revving at standstill

I have just fitted a Blitz Dual Turbo Timer & if I rev the car whilst at standstill I am getting positive boost? Also if I drive the car the timer counts up continously up to 5 mins & I am also getting more boost when I come off the throttle than I do when my foot is planted on the floor? I am guessing one of 2 things here

1, I have connected to an incorrect pipe? (Cant see how but you never know!) I removed the Mechanical Boost Controller & replaced it with a T piece for the Boost Guage, so would have thought it would be ok!

2, The TT is faulty?

Any Ideas?

Any pics of where the pipe should be connected would be useful

Many Thanks

exhaust gases increases this in turn spins the turbo and generates boost.

is the wastgate closed or open at idle? probably closed so this is what you would expect.

Gauge is very likely to be incorrect. Without load ie not in gear it is difficult to get to atmophseric pressure never mind beyond.

When you say posotive boost, is the gauge reading absolute pressure or gauge pressure? You should have a vacuum at idle and about 0.9 bar +ve on full boost.
