WRX to STI intercooler 03MY
Can the STI one just fit on where the old one was? I presume the pipework is the same?

AFAIK Yep !!
You also need the "Y" piece that comes with the STi jobby !! if buying used make sure it comes. Original about £68 plus VAT !!
Also Samco hoses a better bet than OEM ones. If you have a strut brace this will have to come off to fit the STi TMIC..

hmm, so the samco for the WRX is different to the STI version?? That could be annoying as ive only just put them on!!!

no cutting required?? as i have just noticed they do a specific kit for the STI....
i took some pics of mine to compare to the ones you sent me steve, there is a fir amount of difference
and i also got a reply from the place you suggested.....was very impressed

the only way your samco hose will not work is if it isnt the "y" shaped piece that fits to the under side of the intercooler as thats why the sti samco's are different as they already have the metal "y" piece
