Default CEL and uppipe

Ok, changing my manifold and up-pipe to stainless, on an MY02 bug. If I de-cat this pipe do I need a CEL trick , to stop my dash light coming on. Or is this pipe not affected..

Many thanks

I believe you do, I am changing mine next week and have the up-pipe & a sensor fix. Its a little box with 2 wires coming out from what i can see :/

I was told by the chap i got if off that you may not need one, but I would rather be safe and not take any chances of any check lights coming up.

Give Jamie a call at J W Racing 0845 1232829 and he will sort you out.

See http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=320284 for a much cel cheaper fix than the box of tricks.
