Default need help with a timed switch/circuit

I need to draw up and make a circuit for a i/c spray system.
I have a sprung toggle switch and the solenoid and everything else.
problem is I dont want it to be a simple on/off affair.
Ideally when the sprung toggle is activated the circuit provides a one second burst onto the i/c.
as the toggle switch returns to the off state the system then re-arms ready for the next shot.
does this make sense at all?
can anybody out there help me out.
I have looked on the maplins site and rs components and they seem to be about £20 and adjustable, but never exactly what Im after.
thanks

Andy

Get hold of a std WS switch if you can, they have a timed relay inside which is adjustable (time wise)

Maybe easier?

The UK STi 7/8 IC spray uses a 3 sec self resetting timer relay.
All the dash button does is kick start this relay.

spoke to Glenburgie subaru (breakers and suppliers) and they only sell as a kit at £150+ the dreaded.

I have the toggle switch (sprung), bottle, regulator and the solenoid. Basically everything else except the bloody timer so it looks like we will be making the 1 second oneshot stable magiggy thing diagram supplied by Nezz10.

coupled with water injection and cold air feed/box/scoop looks like it could be time to wrap up , theres a cold spell coming
