Ok not an easy one so please help me.

The car will not start first time, sometimes not even the second or third either.
My car is a MY96 sti 2.
I have got 4 new coil packs, 4 NGK PFR7B's gapped to 0.6mm with 5000 miles on them, new 3 bar map sensor, running the microtech mt8 ecu without a maf (Andy f's old one). The ecu can show the fault of any sensor and shows no faults. The ecu is map based and therefore uses the water temp for running, the ecu shows the water temp and it looks perfect therefore the coolant temp sensor works fine. I cleaned the crank and cam sensors too but the ecu would say if they weren't working??

My question is what else could it be??

got an earthing kit coming from the GB to see if it helps.
