V5 mis reporting car type
I've a '97 STI wagon, and my V5 has is down as a standard Impreza (wagon).
How would I go about updating the V5 to the correct model?
Would it have to go away for tests etc?
Much cost involved?

Most imported Subarus have confusing descriptions on the V5. It is only a paper for the DVLA records so chassis numbers are the only true indication of the car type not V5 documents.

Didn't Prodrive or Subaru import some (3 or 4) blue print engined STi Imprezas and put them down as GL's 'coz import numbers has been reached by grey imports? But then went and sold them off before developing them?
Some lucky bugger's out there thinking he's pootling around in a GL when really he's in blue print block STi
