which oil is best??
i have a my95 uk,classic turbo.
i have been using "shell helix ulta 5, 40w" since i got it a near 2 years ago on the advice of another scooby owner.
i am now being told to use "10 40w" by a garage that are supposed to specialise in subarus.
i have had no troubles upto now, should i change?
im thinking the garage have got a good deal on loads of cheap oil and are just trying to shift it.
what oil do you use in your scooby.
cheers

also used helix in my ukMY99 but the 10w 40 variant. then my dealer started using magnatec , so for this service i'll be supplying Castrol RS 10W-60. chosen after asking a well regarded scooby tuner on here what he would recomend

Do a search for "oil" on this forum and you will find one of the most-viewed threads of all time...
10W60 is verging on being too thick for a standard Impreza, a good 10W50 would be better.

really depends on personal choice and exactly what spec your car is.................non-silkolene products also exist...........
