How much power could i get if i remapped the car with the up and downpipe cats in? especially if i changed the turbo too.....

Im guessing the consensus will be that the with the cats in its very restrictive.....but in theory can it be done?

I expect you might manage 280 BHP with an SR30 on a mapped but otherwise standard UK car?

I have seen an MY02 with up and downpipe cats still in place with a TEK 3 re-map pull 265 BHP on the rollers.

All he had changed was the middle section and backbox.

PPP Figures for £500 not £2500, it makes much better sense.

to be fair mate mines already got around 270 as it is and ive spent less than 500 i guess i just want to get this turbo on asap.

(i have upped the boost a touch with a dawes to a safe level at 1.1 though)

i guess im thinking about the MOT in future too, as i doubt ill be able to budget for the sportscat that i was originally going to get.

but anyway...

P.S. it was roaded at 248 and 252 before i removed the cat and put the dawes on so the "around" 270 is an estimate for now.....it may be slightly lower.

Maybe 290 then Neilo , but it does depend on the rollers.... full decat car with TD05 (substantially larger than SR30), headers, FMIC, remap and decent boost can be only just over 300 BHP on some rollers, and IIRC that was the highest 2.0 Scooby on the day. On those rollers you would probably get about 250 BHP with your proposed setup.
