Default need some quick advice

Hi All, bit of a numpty question here but....

how the hell do i get the top off the airbox to change the filter on a my99 impreza turbo.

All i can see is 2 clips on the bow where it is near it's highest point (judging this by the slanted sides of 2 parts of the box.

These unclip fin and i can prize the box open by about an inch, but not enough to get the filter in, or make sure that it is seated correctly. do i just need to use brute force and keep prizing it apart or is there some clever trick.

Any advice would be much appreciated

James

The top hinge's at the bottom end. Undo the clips and lift the top up at bit, then reach arround and unhook the bottom end. Thats the easy bit, a lot trickier to get it back on after.

I loosened the pipes a little to make it easier. Hope you enjoy scrapped knuckles.
