car keep stalling under heavy rain and thunder
was running like normal under a heavy rain on my 2002 Bugeye WRX. when I stoped at the traffic light the car suddently gone stall and it keep happenning till the rain stopped. oh one more thing is that all the clocks and meters are all gone back to 0 except the mileage...so weird!!!!!!!!!!!!! will this have something to do with the rubble I took off under the scoop but as far as I know that rubber only sealed off the intercooler and I have been told to take it off so the car will breath better?? help!!!!!!!!!!!!

the rubber is very important as it directs air over the intercooler which is what you want, the rubber ppl remove is round the front of the bonnet by the snorkle air intake. it also stops water getting through the scoop and onto the electrics, one of your sensors was grounding, the knock sensor is under the scoop aswell as others, car would only have returned to normal when dryed out

I've had this problem a number of times, in the UK and in Kenya.
If 'any' moisture makes it's way through the airfliter, the car will come to a stall.
