Not my cup of tea on a scoob, but im no expert. The V4 cars are a pain in the butt, as you cant get a scoobyecu or TEK for them, so really the only MY not catered for by a cheap option Can never work out why....

My choice would be a Link ECU with a 3 port solenoid. Bit more pricey than the Unichip, but when I was looking, the Link was quite a bit better.

I too have had an engine fitted by API. Done 7K now on it and was having the Unichip debate. Decided to do the Power FC route instead though.
Had it fitted monday by Andy F in Edinburgh and drove back to the midlands last night.
Wow.
Do not do a unichip, do it the proper way. The car is soooooo much fun and very driveable through all of the gears, so very impressed.

We've had excellent results for our customers with Unichip. It has it's limitations sure, but in value for money terms it's a beaut. All other similar systems at around that price are pale by comparison.

It's most definitely not in the league of the Apexi's, Gems, Links, Motecs etc. but for its price it's a winner.

David, do you map yourselves ? I know it's off the impreza topic but I have a Coupe 20 VT also and a friend has offered me a unichip for that, came with his coupe but it's not installed and does not want it. He will let me have it for a song. But what does mapping cost as the Fiat boys have not found a decent mapper.

Ummm, but now I'm thinking...........you give the Unichip the thumbs up so should I consider for my 98 RA.

Can you give me some advise ?
